Ok, so ya want to know where we train. First things first, you need to read our rules so that you are on the same page as us when you come out. If you are a minor, you need to download and fill out our minor consent form at:

www.natcproductions.com

As for where we train, please visit the "NATC WEST" or "NATC CENTRAL" section under the forums and post which training day you would like to attend. If you are in Western Washington, please visit the NATC WEST section. If you are in the Ellensburg area, please visit the NATC CENTRAL section. We will shortly thereafter send you directions.

Understand that NATC is not a militia, nor do we condone or condemn the use of war in the search for peace. NATC does not support any political or religious views and does not discriminate against participants due to age, sex, ethnicity, political, or religious reasons. With that being said, we hope that you will enjoy training with us.

GENERAL RULES

Most of these rules are common sense, but others have been added for safety and general respect for the sites that we have been given permission to train on...

- LIABILITY FORMS. All players will have a liability and medical release form filled out before participating in any NATC training session or events. If you are attending a specific event, participants will also need to fill out a site liability form as well. You can download these and get more info at:

www.natcproductions.com

- NO REAL STEEL - NO EXCEPTIONS. Do not bring out any type of firearm that is a real weapon. Knives may be brought out, but leave them off of the field. All airsoft weapons will be handled as if a real firearm and will be treated with respect. If someone is acting in an unsafe manner, they may be asked to leave the event/training session.

- ONLY BIODEGRADEABLE BB'S WILL BE USED. We respect the fact that we are priviledged to train where we do. And bb's constitute as litter. Please only use biodegradeable bb's in our woods areas (exceptions are the Junk Yard, Lazer tag center, and other areas where we will have the opportunity to clean up our ammo).

- DEAD RAGS ARE REQUIRED. This constitutes as a red rag (shop rag or old t-shirt will do) to be placed on the head when you are considered "dead" or "shot".

- FULL CAMOFLAUGE REQUIRED. A lot of contacts have been made to get the sites we have. Many games will be on public land (depending which field we are playing). This means that an occasional hiker or other outdoor enthusiast may wander by. This rule is to help eliminate potential accidents to others not involved in our training. MAKE POSITIVE ID BEFORE PULLING THE TRIGGER!

- NO DISTURBING SITE. Do not freakin litter!!! Nothing pisses me off more than someone who doesn't know how to respect the wilderness. This rule also includes disturbing the site with any structures or disturbing any animals that may be in the area (wild or domestic).

- SEALED EYE PROTECTION. Sealed eye protection must be worn while on training field. Paintball goggles, steel punch goggles, mesh goggles are all approved. Safety glasses will not be accepted. If you have another style of eye protection not mentioned, but believe that they will work- bring them out to be inspected. All eye protection must be able to withstand a shot from an upgraded AEG at close range. Masks are encouraged but not required. However, in CQB full face masks are required!!! All face/eye protection will be worn properly while on the field of play and may only be removed when outside of those boundaries.

- UNDER 18 NEEDS A MINOR CONSENT FORM. If you are under 18, you will need to have your parent or legal guardian accompany you to the field the first time and sign our waiver.

- AGE 18 AND UNDER FULL FACE MASK REQUIRED. If you are 18 years of age or younger, you will be required to wear a full face mask. There will be no exceptions, so please do not ask. These rules are here for your protection as well as ours.

- NO SHOOTING PERSONS IN SAFE AREA. Do not shoot someone that is not involved in a game or if you are not involved in a game. This includes horseplay shooting in the "dead-pool" zone. All gun shots will be on the field or in an approved direction to test weapons. All weapons will be on “Safe” when off of the field of play.

- NON COMBATANTS. Orange vests will be used to designate non-players. No one may shoot a person in an orange vest. These may be worn by staff or participants that wish to take pictures or other non-scenario related activities.

- FEET PER SECOND LIMITS. Limits are as follows:
* 300'/sec for Close Quarter Battles (CQB). These are games within a building or structure or even outdoor games that might impose a safety concern due to the close proximaty of play.
* 400'/sec for general outdoor games. This is in regards to AEG's and pistols common to most players.
* 500'/sec for designated machine guns. These are guns that have been approved for use as a machine gun or support weapon. These guns are the only guns to be allowed to have box mags or similar massive ammunition feeding capabilities. Weapons in this catagory will be limited to an engagement distance of 50' or more.
* 600'/sec for designated sniper rifles. Any weapon (even pistols) in excess of 400'/sec will be in this catagory (excluding machine guns). These weapons wll be limited to an engagement distance of 100' or more. In addition, weapons in this catagory will be limited to single/bolt action or single fire type of discharge. Some AEG's may be approved to be in the "Machine Gun" catagory on a case by case basis. These will be based on the current game played or numbers limited. Snipers may carry a back up weapon under the normal limits for general guns (CQB or outdoor).

- GRENADES. Grenades may only be used in the milsim game and they must be approved by NATC staff. No flammable grenades or other devices will be used on the field at any time. Smoke grenades will not be employed in any contained environment. Ex. Within a vehicle or closed room.

- OTHER PERSONS EQUIPMENT. No player may grab or handle any other player’s person or equipment during any training session or event (on or off field). Exceptions are only with milsim games that call for it and even then, rules will be strictly adhered to. Touching another persons equipment may be considered an act of theft, and will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

CHEATING/DISOBEYING RULES. If anyone notices that another participant is cheating or otherwise disregarding established rules, they will immediately bring the issue up to any member of NATC staff. If participant is caught cheating by staff or multiple reports have been made, that person will be ejected from this event/training session. Anyone has the right to question the feet per second that another participant may be shooting at if they feel that they are not within limits. If it is found that the participant in question is shooting above our limits, they will be ejected from this and all future games that NATC may hold.

RULES SPECIAL TO THE TEAM

SURRENDERS. For safety sake we require that you make a surrender to a target that is within 20’ of shooting distance if they are in the open and you have a clear shot. Surrenders cannot be denied- NO EXCEPTIONS! If you do not agree with it and you are the target, walk off the field, notify team leader/squad leader, and the situation will be handled after game. Person must audibly say surrender loud enough that the target can hear. If you still do not understand the rule, ask at the game. Safety is the primary concern and be respectful of other players.

KNIFE KILL. If you have a knife (rubber training knife) and are able to sneak up close enough to a target to contact them with it, you may tap them on the shoulder as a kill. The target must accept the kill and leave quietly (no shouting “out”, “hit”, or any other type of warning to other team mates in the area. This is also known as a “silent kill”).

TARGETS. Any bb that strikes your person, uniform, or gear counts as a hit. When hit you may call out “Out”, “Hit”, “Dead”, or any other exclamation to let others know that you are dead. Hits to gun and ricochets do not count as a kill shot. When dead and leaving field, please put dead rag on head with hands or weapon above your head and remove yourself immediately from the field of play or respawn at a proper respawn station.

In early 2008, NATC had a team meeting to discuss what we considered "NECESSARY" safety precautions should we visit another event or team weekend game. We feel responsible for every member in our community and their safety and wish to set an example for any youth or upcoming teams that airsoft guns and games are to be taken seriously when it comes to their similar appearance to real firearms and players safety on ANY field (not just our own). We hope that new teams or even existing ones take from our example and implement safety rules that are the same or at least similar to what we have laid out. Anyway, in order for NATC to participate with ANY outside event or game we consider these following rules necessary:

~ Sealed eye protection a must: This means that if a team is playing with "safety glasses" or any eyewear that does not conform with a complete seal around the players eyes- we will not even attend.
~ No "Real Steel" guns on field. We respect people's to have real firearms, but we feel that they have no place on any airsoft field. We are participating in "airsoft" not a "shooting range".
~ No guns over 600' per second.
~ No metal bb's allowed.

Unfortunately, we are cutting ourselves off from other groups that allow these items of concern by not associating ourselves with them. However, we feel strongly that we should be concerned about every player that we participate with and not only be concerned with ourselves. We also feel that if we waivered on these safety areas, how would we appear to the community about how concerned we are about the safety of every individual- and why would we enforce safety rules on our field and yet ignore them if we visit another group. Again, we hope this message reaches many other teams and players and encourages them to make safety one of their most important elements in any airsoft event they may attend. Thanks for reading.....

Sincerely,
The NATC membership
